Lou Malnati's serves up the most incredible deep dish pizza I've ever had--hands down. The crust is buttery and crisp, the cheese is perfectly gooey, and the rich tomato sauce brings it all together in every bite. It's the kind of pizza that ruins all other pizza for you (in the best way). Service was a bit on the slower side, but honestly? Totally worth the wait. Dining area was clean and quiet. I would go back to Chicago just for this pizza. If you're a deep dish fan--or even if you're not yet--Lou Malnati's will change the game for you.

From the moment we sat down, he greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel truly welcomed. Gerardo was not only kind and attentive, but he also went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. He anticipated our requests before we even had to ask, provided great recommendations, and checked in at just the right times without being intrusive. His positive attitude and genuine care for his guests made our dining experience unforgettable. It's rare to come across someone who is not just doing their job but truly excelling at it with grace and professionalism. I wanted to like this place more, but I may just not be a huge fan of Chicago style pizza. Let's get into it... Ambiance - Lou Malnati's is nicely laid out with plenty of seating for groups big and small. There are some photos of famous people who have eaten there on the wall and the overall environment feels clean. Good marks here. Service - Service was great. Our waitress was attentive and helpful. Food came quickly and they were good about checking in. Good marks here too. Food - This is where I feel the most conflicted. I was really amped up to try some Chicago style deep dish, but it was just okay. The flavors were okay, but the top tomato layer tasted just like eating tomatoes. Maybe I was expecting something more like pizza sauce or something with more flavor, but I felt it took away from my overall enjoyment of the pizza. The sausage, cheese and crust were good. We also had a salad for the table and I really enjoyed that. Overall, it was a good experience and the staff work very hard to keep things moving. I'd give this a solid 4 stars and maybe try something different next time to see if maybe the Chicago classic doesn't resonate with me as much as some of their other offerings.

Yum!! As a newbie to deep dish, I was a little unsure going into it, but this pizza was amazing! Perfectly crisp and buttery crust and topped with flavorful toppings and the perfect amount of sauce. But oh boy these are filling so don't let your eyes get bigger than your stomach!! The waitress was also helpful in letting us know that the deep dish takes longer to make (about 35 minutes) so we ordered some garlic bread as an appetizer which was delicious!

Order ahead. It takes time with deep dish. This pizza was good but compare to the competitors it wasn't close. The customer service is amazing. Couple of servers helped us and they all were very nice. Plenty of seatings.

Went with the classic deep dish malnati personal pizza for my first visit to Lou's. I haven't had many deep dish pizzas, but this has to be the best by far. The tomato sauce was full of flavor and how it should be. The crust was amazing - thick enough to hold the weight of the pizza while not being tough. I'm more of a pepperoni gal, so I thought the there was a bit too much sausage. I'll definitely come back here to try other variations, though hopefully arrive less hungry. Their waitlist system to be seated is simple enough and pretty easy to get through. However, I wasn't expecting to wait 45 min after being seated for our pizza to come, since we ordered about 25 minutes before being seated. Will keep this in mind for next time!
